The Role
We are seeking 2 Senior Business Development Managers to join our Commercial team based near Düsseldorf, Germany. In this role, you will develop and execute a commercial strategy to exceed sales and profitability targets while enhancing our brand presence and achieving year-on-year growth.
You will work closely with our Commercial, Operations, and Account Management teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage tender processes, and deliver high-quality proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Growth:
Identify and pursue relevant business opportunities within target market sectors.
* Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategies to ensure a robust and healthy sales pipeline.
* Proposal Development:
Manage and coordinate proposal, presentation, and tender activities, ensuring timely submission of high-quality, written proposals.
* Market Intelligence:
Conduct market research to support business development efforts and inform strategic decisions.
* Relationship Building:
Engage with prospective clients, presenting tailored solutions that align with their needs.
* Sales Support:
Work collaboratively with finance, projects, and operations teams to craft compelling solutions.
* CRM Management:
Maintain accurate pipeline data and insights on the CRM system.
* Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on industry trends, ensuring knowledge of both business solutions and system developments.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for the Senior Business Development Managers - 3PL / E-Commerce (x2) roles will have the following skills and experiences:
* Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
* Proven 3PL or Logistics experience in a commercial business development role - Essential.
* 5+ Years sector experience within 3PL / Retail / E-Commerce Logistics companies - Advantageous.
* Strong networking skills with a focus on building credible relationships - Essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for proposal writing - Essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems - Essential.
* Experience in analysing market trends and competitor activities - Essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills - Essential.
* Degree Educated - Preferred but not essential
* To be based in Germany, with a preference of the Düsseldorf area - Advantageous.
The Salary & Package
* Competitive salary of €80,000 to €100,000 (DOE).
* Performance-based bonuses, an expected OTE of €130k+
* Company Car Allowance.
