The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.
Your new responsibilities
* Handling all tasks related to Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) at the Regensburg site, including occupational safety, health protection and environmental management, as well as responding to incidents and emergencies
* Advising and supporting managers in the creation of risk assessments, operating instructions and training materials; contributing to workflows such as layout approvals and hazardous substance release requests
* Accompanying measurements and evaluations, and developing protective measures
* Contributing to the preparation of environmental permit documents
* Preparing, organizing and accompanying regular inspections of individual areas and the entire site, as well as internal and external occupational safety and environmental management audits, e.g., according to DIN EN ISO 14001/45001
* Developing and maintaining data-based reports and relevant statistics
* Regular reporting to the Director EHSS Regensburg, site management and executive management of ams-OSRAM International GmbH
* Close collaboration and ongoing professional exchange with the EHSS team and the occupational health service, as well as with other departments and corporate sites; constructive cooperation with the works council
* Independent organization and participation in legally required training, as well as support in training employees, visitors, service providers and external companies
What we look for
* Successfully completed studies or a master craftsman/technician qualification with several years of professional experience or a graduate of a relevant safety-related degree program with relevant internships and successful graduation
* If not already qualified as a safety specialist, willingness to complete the training to become a safety specialist through the professional association (Berufsgenossenschaft) soon, alongside work during working hours at BGETEM training centers with cost coverage or through other suitable educational Providers
* Confident demeanor combined with the ability to communicate proactively and constructively, both verbally and in writing form, especially with representatives of authorities and the professional association
* Teamplayer with empathy and structured working style, high resilience and the ability to respond appropriately to spontaneous events
* Proficiency in German (at least C1 level), both spoken and written; English proficiency in speaking and writing is required due to internal corporate communication and training of employees or business partners
* Commitment and active participation in the EHS on-call system to be established as part of emergency management; willingness to work primarily onsite
