KG Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Grid Solutions Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day You lead a multidisciplinary team of Simulink developers and domain experts, driving the development of a control software platform for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). Your day revolves around applying model-based design (MBD) methodologies to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions while ensuring technical excellence, team alignment, and continuous innovation.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead and mentor a team of control software engineers and domain experts, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
2. Manage team operations including resource allocation, performance reviews, and professional development.
3. Oversee the development of control algorithms and software using Simulink and MATLAB, ensuring adherence to model-based design principles.
4. Guide the integration of control models into embedded platforms and real-time systems.
5. Plan and manage software development projects, collaborating with system architects, hardware engineers, and testing teams.
6. Provide technical leadership in HVDC and FACTS control strategies, staying current with industry trends and supporting system-level validation.
What You Bring
7. Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
8. Proven experience in Simulink-based control software development and model-based design, including automatic code generation (, Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder).
9. Strong background in HVDC and/or FACTS systems and familiarity with real-time simulation platforms (, dSPACE, OPAL-RT).
10. Ideally, knowledge of power electronics, grid integration, and system-level control and experience with Agile development methodologies.
11. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
12. Proficiency both in German and English
