Job purpose/role
The Senior Economist Insurance and ESG plans and executes all research activities regarding social inclusion, including existing and future gaps such as income inequality, gender and technology gaps and intergenerational justice.
You will analyze and forecast insurance and wealth market developments with a focus on solutions for inclusive insurance. You will work within the Group Economic Research department and report to the Head of Thematic and Policy Research.
Key responsibilities
* Monitor key developments in the field of social inclusion such as income inequality and gender gaps
* Initiate, plan and execute research activities and publications regarding social inclusion, including designing, conducting and analyzing surveys
* Undertake high-quality research and forecasts on insurance markets and global wealth and debt dynamics
* Outreach to internal (e.g. Group Centers, OEs and BDs) and external clients
* Coordinate requests from Allianz SE and operating entities as well as media and external stakeholders
* Develop and manage partnerships including internal and external community building
Key requirements/skills/experience
* Master's degree in Economics/Statistics/Finance with 5+ years of work experience
* High technical competence in dealing with MS Office, data provider and modelling software
* Strong knowledge of data science (analytics, modeling, visualization); scenario building
* Visionary competence coupled with strong communication skills
* Proficiency in English and German;
* Capable to drive pragmatic rapid problem solution
* Strong customer orientation; practical and result-oriented way of working;
* Ability to work together and integrate into a team
* Well structured, self-responsible and reliable working style
