As a Network Design Specialist (m/f/d), you will be part of a global team responsible for creating technical network design documentation for onshore wind farms worldwide. The Network Design Specialist reports directly to the Group Lead IT Network Design & Configuration within the Global Project Management Department "IT Network, Security & Access".
YOUR TASKS
* Design and implement solutions based on customer requirements for Nordex onshore wind park projects, following corporate network standards and components.
* Collaborate effectively with Network Architects, Project Engineers, and the Documentation team.
* Update and maintain network drawings throughout all project phases: preparation, configuration, and installation.
* Ensure compliance with Nordex corporate standards for network design.
* Create configuration designs for network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, sensors, and customer-specific options.
* Support process and design clarification in collaboration with Project Engineering colleagues.
YOUR PROFILE
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of relevant professional experience combined with CCNA certification and proficiency in drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio and strong knowledge of communication protocols
* Experience in IT/OT network configuration, including IP concepts, firewalls, and port management.
* Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-oriented and e xcellent communication skills.
* Experience providing technical support to colleagues and users across various levels.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Strong intercultural competence and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
