The Commercial Excellence – Business Analyst plays a key role in strengthening BMID’s analytical and commercial capabilities. The role focuses on delivering actionable business analytics, supporting pricing processes across the division, and providing operational and strategic support for our CRM (. This includes creating meaningful dashboards and reports, partnering with Commercial, Product Management, and Finance on pricing topics, and ensuring high‑quality first‑level CRM support for global users.
In addition, the role contributes to translating commercial requirements into CRM and system developments, supports cross‑functional improvements, and helps ensure that commercial processes and related tools are aligned with divisional needs.
The role will be part of the Commercial Excellence Team.
Responsibilities
Business Analytics & Pricing
1. Provide ad hoc analysis and general dashboards to the division to gain advanced business knowledge and define further requirements for respective reporting tools with sources like SFDC and PBI or SAC.
2. Consolidate and clean data to produce actionable insights from disconnected or inconsistent data sources.
3. Being responsible for preparing customer specific pricing in a defined format to prepare the upload into SAP incl. process definition and improvement.
CRM knowledge ( & support
4. Provide first level support to a global team by using your knowledge about the system itself, implemented processes and workflows.
5. Create reports/ dashboards for our users.
6. Provide training and guidance as well as up to date communication about new features and functionalities developed in the organization.
CRM development
7. Capture and define business relevant development needs/ gaps or inefficiencies in close collaboration with respective stakeholders (Sales, Applications, Marketing and Product Management), translate into process and system requirements/ improvement opportunities.
8. Communicate the identified requirements to the supporting functions and test their output.
9. Create corresponding guidelines and training material and roll-out new developments on a global scale.
10. Help maintain a project pipeline for future development and improvements.
Other
11. Being contact for other departments in terms of process and systems workflows within the division.
12. Identify recurring issues in processes and data flows, propose improvements, and drive alignment across stakeholders.
13. Being the contact in terms of process difficulties (esp. for the commercial team) and initiate discussions and changes if needed in close collaboration with the involved departments.
Qualifications
14. Degree in business administration or similar.
15. Experience in working in a matrix organization.
16. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work with incomplete or inconsistent data and still derive meaningful insights.
17. Experience with or comparable CRM system.
18. Ability to understand commercial processes end‑to‑end and translate business needs into clear system or reporting requirements.
19. Fluent in English. Fluency in German would be a strong advantage.
20. Ability to work above operational “noise”, structure complexity, and bring clarity through processes, data, and communication.
21. Ability to work independently, structured and organized and keep the overview on several priorities, tasks and numerous projects in parallel.
22. Ability to find compromises between multiple stakeholders.
