We are seeking a highly skilled Import Customs Manager for the EMEA and/or UK region. The successful candidate will oversee import customs operations, manage import duties, and collaborate with various import countries to standardize policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
1. Manage projects related to customs compliance in the EMEA region
2. Gather and analyze data to support logistics decision-making.
3. Lead logistics projects to improve efficiency and achieve business goals.
4. Support standardization and alignment of import operations across the region for a unified approach.
5. Project management for mergers and acquisitions
6. Utilize financial data for insights and strategic planning.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to align logistics strategies and drive improvements.
8. Oversee and track import duty values and payments.
9. Provide baseline import duties and tariffs in the event of reciprocal tariffs.
10. Interpret policies and manage import activities, duties, and preferential programs, especially if based in AMS.
11. Monitor policy changes, interpret their impact, and recommend actions.
12. Assess policy impacts with KGL management or Legal and communicate findings.
13. Lead initiatives to mitigate tariffs and optimize logistics operations.
14. Analyze existing logistics processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
15. Create detailed reports on logistics metrics and project outcomes.
16. Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
17. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Project management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification is a plus.
18. Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
19. Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
20. Strong understanding of LEAN principles and their application in logistics operations.
21. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
23. Proficiency in logistics management software, data analysis tools, and financial reporting systems. Advanced MS Excel skills.
24. Proficiency in Oracle and Salesforce systems, OTM and GTM process knowledge is a plus.
25. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Skills
26. Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
27. Experience with other logistics systems, software, and processes.
28. People management skills.
29. Knowledge of international logistics and supply chain regulations.
30. Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage uncertainty.
