Job Description
1. Take full end-to-end ownership of designing, building, and scaling backend services and systems using TypeScript,, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
2. Design and deliver reliable, scalable APIs and core services that power critical business and product functionality.
3. Own deployments, contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure stable and secure production operations.
4. Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and long-term system health.
5. Monitor backend systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and efficiency.
6. Contribute to architectural decisions around service design, data models, and integrations.
7. Mentor and guide other engineers, and help shape engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications
8. 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend engineering.
9. Strong, hands-on experience with TypeScript,, NestJS, and PostgreSQL in production environments.
10. Proven experience designing and building APIs and distributed services.
11. Solid understanding of relational data modeling, performance optimization, and data integrity.
12. Experience owning backend systems end-to-end - from concept and design to deployment and long-term maintenance.
13. Experience with CI/CD tooling and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar).
14. Strong commitment to code quality, testing practices, and scalable system design.
