To strengthen our Trade Affairs team, we are looking for a dedicated colleague who main focus will be on customs valuation and tariffing and, alongside the main task, also support all topics related to foreign trade.The interesting and versatile position offers the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.
Your responsibilities
Performing customs valuation and tariffing of our products in accordance to applicable customs regulationsAssessing of our products for license or authorization requirementsMaintaining and updating customs‑relevant material master data in SAPCommunicating with internal departments, especially Product Management, Purchasing, R&D and SalesSupporting day‑to‑day business, including checking and releasing embargo and sanctions list screeningsIndependently handling topics and projects within the Trade Affairs teamSupporting topics related to customs and foreign trade lawSupporting the continuous improvement of processes, digitalization and quality assuranceYour qualifications
Technical or commercial degree (or equivalent qualification) with a focus on foreign trade and customs, or an equivalent qualificationIdeally knowledge of customs tariff classification and the “Electronic Customs Tariff” (EZT), alternatively, basic knowledge with a readiness to specializePractical experience in customs valuation and customs determination, or a willingness to acquire this expertiseStrong technical understanding of hardware and/or software such as but not limited to security and ITExcellent SAP skillsStructured, diligent and reliable working styleExcellent communication skills with the ability to argue and defend subject-matter positionsStrong team orientation and ability to collaborate across departmentsInterest to work with complex regulatory topicsVery good German and good English skills
