SYSTEMS ENGINEER - RAIL INFOTAINMENT
I am working with a client in the rail technology sector who is looking to hire a Sub‑System Engineer specialising in infotainment systems. The role is based in the Brandenburg region and involves joining a large engineering hub that develops and supports passenger transport solutions across multiple vehicle types, including high‑speed, regional, and urban rail.
Location: Brandenburg
Rate: Negotiable
Length: 6 Months+
Working Style: Flexible
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and monitor all subsystem‑related activities.
2. Conduct verification activities at train level, including design reviews.
3. Collaborate with sourcing teams, suppliers, and engineers across disciplines such as RAMS, validation, and interiors.
4. Establish and manage mechanical and electrical interfaces.
5. Integrate subsystems mechanically and electrically into complete vehicles.
6. Oversee change and configuration management, including impact assessments.
7. Define functional, performance, and train‑level requirements for infotainment subsystems.
Candidate Profile
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate with suppliers.
9. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
10. Fluent English; German language skills are advantageous.
11. Solid technical understanding of complex, networked systems.
12. 2-3 years of relevant experience in system engineering within rail, aerospace, or automotive industries.
