We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Training Coordinator to join our client’s team for a significant project in Heilbronn, Germany aimed at converting a coal-based plant into a modern power station.
This role is crucial for ensuring that all staff are adequately trained in health, safety, and environmental practices, aligning with project requirements and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in both German and English, facilitating effective communication and training delivery to a diverse workforce.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement HSE orientation, induction, and specific training programs using an approved training matrix.
* Conduct internal awareness training sessions and ensure continuous education on HSE practices.
* Develop and manage a competency assessment process to confirm employee understanding and ability to perform their designated tasks safely.
* Maintain an up-to-date training matrix and database that records all training participants and their progress.
* Administer final assessments to validate the effectiveness of training programs and confirm trainees’ competence.
* Collaborate with HSE Inspectors to monitor on-site training effectiveness and conduct necessary coaching.
* Coordinate with the Project HSE Manager and HR Department to organize external training sessions with approved training centers as needed. Regularly provide feedback on training outcomes, suggesting improvements and adjustments to meet project goals and enhance safety culture.
Requirements
Professional Experience and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in HSE roles within the oil, gas, or related industries, with significant exposure to training and development.
* Internationally recognized qualification in HSE Management (e.g., BSC, NEBOSH) with a preference for candidates with an engineering background.
* Thorough knowledge of HSE regulations and standards such as ISO 45001/14001 and familiarity with international practices (i.e., iOGP, OSHA, BS/AS/NZ).
Skills:
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a cooperative and productive working environment.
Education:
Advanced education in safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Work Conditions:
The position is based on-site at the project location in Heilbronn, Germany. The role requires a full-time commitment with flexibility to adapt to project schedules and demands.
