As a Converter Control Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge software for wind turbine power converters, contributing to the performance and reliability of our turbines worldwide.
YOUR TASKS
As part of the Converter Control Development Team, your tasks will include:
1. Designing and developing application software for wind turbine power converters using Matlab/Simulink
2. Programming PLC systems and developing libraries in C/C++
3. Creating and maintaining software specifications using agile tools such as Confluence and JIRA
4. Developing and executing validation tests for converter application software
5. Supporting test bench validation for power converter systems
6. Building simulation models for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing
7. Collaborating with internal departments and the power converter hardware development team
YOUR PROFILE
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled engineer with:
8. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
9. 3–5 years of experience in application software development for wind turbine converters
10. Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and PLC programming
11. A structured, independent, and reliable working style
12. Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
13. A hands-on mentality and customer-oriented mindset
14. Fluency in English (spoken and written); German or Spanish is a plus
15. Willingness to travel occasionally
