Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) offers its clients the global banking network, thought leadership and global product capabilities of Citi. We deliver extensive industry knowledge, local expertise and dedicated service support to Mid-Market (sales up to USD 3 bn.) and high growth companies with an international footprint. We provide banking and financial solutions to our clients across 5 key growth industries: Business & Professional Services, Industrials, Digital-Technology & Communications, Consumer and Healthcare. The primary responsibility of the Associate will be, in cooperation with the Senior Relationship Managers, servicing the banking & financing needs of international Mid-Market clients, deepening existing client relationships and acquiring & onboarding new commercial banking clients.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
1. Support senior relationship manager in management of a client portfolio
2. Call on clients, jointly with senior relationship managers, to leverage Citi’s global network, product solutions and market insights
3. Drive prospecting effort, selecting companies, reaching out and ensuring follow-up, alone or with the senior relationship manager
4. Prepare pitch materials that senior relationship managers use in sales and prospecting
5. Work with regional Industry partners to leverage global industry content for client selection and client dialogue
6. Help deliver the key commercial banking product set, including Cash Management, FX, Commodities, Trade, Working Capital and Lending products
7. Help deliver Citi’s global network by working with bankers and product experts around the world
8. Deliver credit to our client through financial analysis, financial modelling, documentary support, policy and process ownership, working with Underwriting and Risk teams
9. Support the senior relationship manager with analysis on capital returns across transactions, clients and portfolio
10. Monitor clients’ financial performance and determine if further due diligence is needed
11. Work with Corporate Finance and Investment Banking teams at time of structured transactions
12. Collaborate with Relationship Associates, who own KYC, client onboarding, implementation, documentation and overall client delivery
13. Train and guide Analysts
14. Support CCB country head on strategic initiatives
Knowledge/Experience:
15. Minimum 3 year previous relevant banking experience
16. Experience within Commercial/Corporate/Investment banking is desirable
17. Experience in client facing teams
18. Sales, presentation and communication skills
19. Analytical and credit skills, financial analysis, accounting and financial modelling
20. General knowledge of banking processes
21. Fluency in English and German
Education:
22. Masters degree preferred
