Operations Excellence Lead
Amazon's operational backbone relies on efficient order fulfilment and dispatch. As an Area Manager, you'll oversee site operations to meet customer demand, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality environment. Driving productivity through various projects across our network is also key.
* Analyse and implement changes to maintain quality and productivity
* Oversee projects to streamline processes and enhance quality of service
* Analyse shift performance and implement actions for operational excellence
* Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A typical day involves managing a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety, upholding quality and shift performance standards. You'll also oversee process improvements and be a role model and mentor to new managers.
About the Team:
Our global operation handles over 1.5 million orders daily, using emerging technology to offer a wider product range delivered quickly and affordably. We're based in Fulfilment Centres, often referred to as the 'First Mile' because it's where most Amazon packages start their journey.
We help manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.
Requirements:
* Degree qualification
* Relevant experience in people management
* Effective communication with stakeholders
* Data analysis to influence business decisions
* Advanced English and local language proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen techniques; logistics environment; MS Office suite; diversity and inclusion mindset.
