For our client, a famous company in the semiconductor sector, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Product & Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d) in Böblingen.
Your tasks:
* Works in the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team which drives our client towards operational excellence in an outsourced manufacturing environment
* Brings new mechanical infrastructure products of the V93000 IC tester into production on time
* Assures manufacturing, quality and reliability of technically challenging mechanical products throughout the outsourced supply chain
* Develops, maintains and shares expertise of mechanical product design of the V93000 within our client including advice to peers and management
* Selects supplier and runs supplier qualification through potential analysis and process audits to constantly fulfill customer and business requirements
* Implementation of preventive quality and approval measures at external suppliers
* Collaborates closely and x-functionally with RD, Supply Chain and Product marketing and global support teams in a very international environment
* Aspects to further consider are manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives to drive quality, cost, and supply metrics towards defined goals
Your skills:
* Bachelor/Masters’ degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
* Broad knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes and high knowledge of mechanical high level assemblies
* Knowledge of mechanical product development with CAD tool support
* Proactive, flexible and innovative mindset with analytical problem solving skills, demonstrating strong ownership
* Background as Supplier Quality Manager/Supplier Auditor
* Project management skills in daily life highly wished
* Good Communication skills and team player in cross-functional and cross-company environment both in English and German (German min B2, English fluent)
* Willingness to travel<20% of time
