We are looking for a Software (Technical) Support Engineer to join the team in Dresden, Germany in support of our CGA based process tools. Your key responsibilities as a Software (Technical) Support Engineer: Software System Troubleshooting - analyze reported problems & validate solutions, provide troubleshooting plans to discover root cause to deliver rapid resolution on systemic issues (Microsoft Server / Network Topology / Applications) Software Installation & Imaging - Install & configure software & images on Early Learning Shipments (ELS) / New product Introductions (NPI) / First In Fab tools (FIF), document & perform first of kind installs on High Volume Manufacturing tools (HVM), develop & train on Software procedures Software Test & Validation - Collect & incorporate customer specific test scenarios, construct simulators for testing & troubleshooting, execute test plans to validate software releases (test suit) Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions for Applied Materialsu2019 product releases. Understand, research, and resolve internal and external application and systems issues, investigate in customer's high value problem (HVP), systematic bugs or systematic software failures. Customer Engagement & Training - Foster customer trust in Applied Materials Software, consult on Factory Automation scenarios (FA), resolve questions on tool operations & settings Provide on-going training to customers and customer engineers (CE) for technical products and systems issues. Assist in analysis of customer OS performance, integration, and database management issues. Deliver updates and reports to managers, partners, and peers.
