Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented COMSEC Responsible Officer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop and maintain plans for the destruction or protection of COMSEC material during emergencies to prevent compromise. **This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) **NO REMOTE WORK**
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Oversees user compliance with security protocols and provide guidance on proper handling and emergency procedures.
2. Manages cryptographic networks (cryptonets), ensuring minimal size for operational security and coordinating key changes or extensions with the National Security Agency (NSA) and other stakeholders.
3. Secures communication systems, such as voice, video, and data networks, using approved COMSEC equipment compatible with DoD key management systems.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4. A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; - An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; - A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; - 11 years of recent specialized experience
5. Protects COMSEC material, including cryptographic keys, equipment, and documents, from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
6. Implements physical and procedural controls for accessing, storing, and transporting COMSEC material, adhering to the two-person integrity (TPI) policy for key material.
7. Maintains accurate records and conducts regular inventories of COMSEC material, as outlined in AFMAN 23-110 (USAF Supply Manual).
8. Reports discrepancies or potential compromises immediately to the appropriate authorities, per AFI 33-212 (Reporting COMSEC Incidents).
9. Ensures personnel handling COMSEC material complete required training, documented via AFCOMSEC Form 30 (COMSEC Responsible Officer and User Training Checklist).
10. Reports COMSEC incidents (e.g., loss, theft, or unauthorized access) promptly to mitigate risks and recover compromised systems.
11. Coordinates with higher headquarters for guidance on incident resolution

14. Provide support on multiple enclaves during events and exercises at the US
Army Joint Multinational Simulation Center in Germany.
