Angestellter (Materialverwaltung/Arbeitsaufsicht) Kaiserslautern/Miesau, Germany Ausschreibungsbereich WER DARF SICH BEWERBEN? / WHO MAY APPLY? INNERBETRIEBLICHE Arbeitnehmer in Deutschland. Dies umfasst alle ortsansässigen Beschäftigten der US Streitkräfte, einschließlich Air Force und AAFES-Europe, innerhalb Deutschlands. Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany. Hauptaufgaben As a working leader, directs and controls the work of approx. 5 employees (highest level of non-supervisory work led is Supply Clerk, C-2005-4a) who are engaged in functions such as: receipt, storage, and issue of repair parts required for the overhaul and repair program of the Maintenance Activity. Items pertain to a variety of industrial engineering equipment, combat equipment, weapon systems, standard arid special motorized equipment and vehicles of all types. Plans work schedules and sequence of operations on a weekly basis. Revises work schedule to meet changes in workload considering factors such as peak loads. Informs higher level supervisor of anticipated vacancy, increase in workload or other circumstances to obtain replacement, temporary help or additional staff. Approves leave for short periods or emergencies. Instructs employees, including on-the-job training, in specific tasks and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials and supplies. In performing non-leader duties employee is responsible for the requisitioning pick up and distribution of repair parts under the recently implemented just in time concept. Reviews and edits requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations; assures stock numbers, prices, sources of supply and other data are correct. Revises quantities ordered based on number of items on hand, and reviews records for possible substitutions of items; recommends local purchase when appropriate. Processes receipt transactions for material being received by contract, local purchase, and other means. Compares packing lists, receiving documents, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other documents with contracts, purchase orders, or requisitions to verify accuracy of stock identification, quantity, costs, and other pertinent data. Prepares material receipt documents for those shipments having no, major discrepancies. Investigates receiving documents involving discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, substitutes, and non-specification items; examines contract files, authorizations, and charges, inspection reports, pricing guides, and other files to ascertain source of variance. Contacts inspection-, purchasing-, and other organizations to gather information on discrepancies. Accepts or rejects material based on investigation and in accordance with standard procedures. Furnishes missing information to other personnel for continued investigation. Initiates action to freeze material to preclude issue. Prepares inventory adjustments when the cause of the discrepancy is determined. Collects data for the initiation of Report of Discrepancy. Maintains and prepares records, reports, and files relative to work being performed. Works with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) and performs all administrative work related to automated supply transactions. Conducts physical inventories of items reflected on inventory count sheets generated by GCSS-Army. Controls in checking of items for conformity with shipping documents, recording of partial shipments, identification of items as to work order concerned, and annotating of parts status control cards established for follow-up oil availability of items required for production. Controls the warehousing and storage of items, the segregation and distribution to bills and pallets, or the consolidation in baskets for work orders. Directs issue of items to shop or production line concerned in case of such work orders being already "in process" in accordance with the differentiation of items, such as to accounts. Controls or initiates the acceptance, inspection identification and turn in of shop return. Serves as contact point for merging Automated Data Processing (ADP) documentation for all supply information and daily submissions to data processing activity. Maintains parts request and parts status register, by posting such data as date, request number, quantity, work order number, nomenclature, and a variety of identification codes obtained from pre-edited Maintenance Requests and/or variety of cards and listings generated by local computer or other ADP installations. Verifies ADP printout against data submitted to ensure correctness, and in case of discrepancies determines action required for correction. Assures timely and complete processing control and follow-up on documentation, determines causes of delays to ensure that actions are completed within time standards. Performs inspections within the area controlled for proper maintenance of Stock Systems, POL products, reports accounting and supply records to ensure compliance with the provisions of applicable procedures and to provide instruction on proper work methods and explains new or revised procedures. Reports and Records: Controls the maintenance of internal warehouse card files and other media required for proper follow-up arid reporting of receipts and issues, and for the preparation of the daily repair parts activity reports. Report reflects, differentiated as to work request, the number of parts received, issued binned, turned-in, and line items per work order. Control the maintaining of the locator file, the item control file, and the recording of item activity. Keeps working liaison and closely coordinates and cooperates with personnel of the different shops, the Production Control Office, the Supply, and Property Book Office, all matters pertaining to warehousing activities, availability, receipt, issue, and return of items. Performs other duties as assigned.
