Your seat to fill:
* Provide expert advice on all aspects of patent law, including German, European, and international utility and design rights
* Identify and evaluate inventions in close collaboration with inventors and prepare applications for German, European and foreign patents
* Support in drafting, prosecution, and management of our patent portfolio across multiple jurisdictions
* Evaluate third-party IP landscapes to guide freedom-to-operate assessments, clearance strategies, and competitive positioning
* Provide expert counsel in patentability, validity and infringement matters
* Act as internal go-to expert on IP-related risks and opportunities in cross-functional teams (R&D, Product Management, Legal, Procurement, etc.)
* Communicate with external patent attorneys and lawyers to drive forward patent-related activities
Your stroll to CYBEX:
* Technical studies (Mechanical Engineer, Physics, or comparable) with further education or experience in patents, possibly qualification as European Patent Attorney
* Several years of professional experience in patent work, including drafting, prosecution and FTO
* High degree of self-motivation, autonomy, and reliability in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
* Strong analytical skills and a well-organized work approach to complex matters
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
* Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with patent research tools and databases
