A Snapshot of Your Day
In a growing business and highly dynamic environment, you will be responsible for owning and driving all tax-related matters and processes for Siemens Energy’s joint venture with Air Liquide, supporting management in ensuring that our business operations are fully aligned with all tax-relevant standards and regulations. You will act as the single point of contact within our joint venture for the Siemens Energy tax function and external service providers. You will work with management and various teams to prioritize and implement initiatives in accounting, tax, customs, HR, and legal.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Independently owning and driving tax-related matters to the finish line, from defining the requirements (in alignment with our corporate tax function) to ensuring implementation.
2. Ensuring that the business processes are aligned with tax regulations and group guidelines / standards.
3. Completing internal tax-related processes, reports, and controls and tracking defined critical metrics.
4. Coordinating and preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
5. Providing regular assessments on risks, opportunities and implementation status. Structuring complex problems into understandable and actionable statements.
6. Demonstrating collaboration and influencing skills to ensure that our operational areas are acting in synchrony with the relevant tax rules and regulations. Suggesting process and interface improvements.
What You Bring
7. Master’s in accounting, law, tax or a related field (Steuerberater/in certification is a plus).
8. Long term relevant professional experience in tax and/or accounting with solid understanding of VAT regulations. Knowledge of Intrastat processes and Tax Engines are a major plus. Knowledge of transfer pricing and international tax law are a plus.
9. Excellent communication skills in English and German, with experience in simplifying and presenting concepts and making recommendations to senior management.
10. Problem-solving skills, decision-making and critical thinking. Emphasis on details and quality, analytical mentality.
11. Strong interpersonal abilities, skilled at engaging partners, coordinating between departments, and enabling information and data transfer.
12. Experience with setting up processes and controls in newly created organizations.
13. You can prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and independently achieve results
14. Knowledge of SAP (S4 HANA. Domain of MS-Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
