Job Description
Overall Objectives:
The Central IT Operations crews are responsible for maintaining IT services and the datacenter services (e.g.: servers, backup, physical hardware and applications such as Citrix, Active directory, etc.). The central IT Operations crew will work in collaboration with other IT crews and according to defined processes (e.g. Incident Management and Change Management).
The Head of IT Infrastructure and Datacenter Operations – ITISC21 is responsible for:
1. Ensure that IT Infrastructure Services are delivered effectively to customers;
2. Manage and motivate IT Operations Crews to perform and collaborate in corporate manner;
3. Manage cost effectiveness of the EUDC Infrastructure;
4. Ensure that the defined processes (e.g. Incident Management and Change Management) are well applied;
5. Drive innovation processes;
Ensure that new processes are well introduced and understood by the crew.
Specific Assignments for daily IT Operations in the Data Centre:
6. Directly responsible of the EUDC Platform and the operating Crews;EUDC – Network;EUDC – Compute (Compute Operations / Cloud Operations);EUDC – Data (Storage Operations / Backup Operations);EPCS Operations;ITISC21 – Active Directory;ITISC21 – Workspace management;ITISC21 – Monitoring;ITISC21 – Messaging;ITISC21 – Linux Operations;ITISC21 – Project Management;
7. Maintains of all components that will serve the EUDC platform;
8. Monitor the capacity and availability of IT Infrastructure Services hosted in EUDC;
9. Make sure that changes on IT Infrastructure Services are implemented in a smooth and controlled manner (e.g. Change Management, release procedure and monitoring criteria).
Qualifications
Personal Skills:
10. Strong organizational skills;
11. Ability to listen, gather and understand information about people and situations, quickly;
12. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organization and externally;
13. Excellent attention to detail and quality;
14. At ease with distant & international communications through a wide array of technologies (ticketing tool, documents and forums, phone, chat, e-mail).
Initial Education Background:
15. Bachelor's degree or comparable education/ Eurofins Talent Manager.
Additional Education Background:
16. Certification ITIL Foundation V3 highly appreciated, but not mandatory;
17. Certification ITIL Intermediate or Lifecycle highly appreciated, but not mandatory.
Language skills and level expected:
18. English (fluent) required;
19. German (fluent) beneficial.

Type and duration of previous experience:
20. Significant experience required as IT Operations Manager or comparable experience managing/working in an enterprise level data centre with more than 2.500 servers and a crew with at least 5 members;
21. Strong experience required in storage and virtualization technologies.
Technical knowledge:
22. Background as IT System administrator (Cisco, HP, Windows operating system, VMware and NetApp) required, as it will leverage mutual understanding with technicians.
