Fraunhofer ILT is one of Europe's leading centers for fundamental and contract research in the field of laser technology. In our "Joining of Plastics and Transparent Materials" group, we work daily on both publicly funded and industrial projects on current topics. In the public projects, we research fundamental technologies and their implementation in industrial concepts. In the industrial projects, we work closely with our project partners to provide direct support in applied production processes.
What you will do
* Familiarization with laser-based processing technology
* Independent planning, setup and execution of experiments
* Construction and modification of experimental setups
* Support in project work with our industrial partners
* Evaluation, processing and presentation of results
* Support in the further development of system technology
* Research and procurement of components and laboratory equipment
What you bring to the table
* You are studying mechanical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry or another technical subject
* Technical interest and quick familiarization with new issues
* Structured and orderly way of working, enjoy practical work
* Very good knowledge in German and English
* Programming and/or design skills are an advantage, but not essential

The position is initially limited to 6 months, after which it can be extended.
Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
