Foundation is developing the future of general purpose robotics with the goal to address the labor shortage.
Our mission is to create advanced robots that can operate in complex environments, reducing human risk in conflict zones and enhancing efficiency in labor-intensive industries.
You care about aesthetics and design inside out. You will lead the design, prototyping, and integration of advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems that replicate the fine motor skills of the human hand. Design and develop mechanical systems for humanoid hands and fingers, including actuators, joints, sensors, linkages, and control systems.
Integrate motors, servos, gears, sensors, and custom PCBs into compact, human-like form factors while ensuring durability and smooth operation.
Work closely with electrical and software engineers to develop closed-loop control systems for precision grasping, manipulation, and tactile feedback.
Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) to create detailed part and assembly models.
Rapidly prototype components using 3D printing, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing methods.
Perform testing and validation of finger/hand performance under various load and environmental conditions.
