We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Physician specializing in Internal Medicine with a focus on Pulmonology to join a well-regarded hospital in the Leipzig region. Candidate Profile:
* Possession of German medical licensure (Approbation) is mandatory.
* Completed specialist training in Internal Medicine.
* Demonstrated clinical experience in pulmonology, including management of respiratory diseases.
* Knowledge of intensive care medicine is highly desirable.
* Strong reliability, accountability, and collegiality.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
Clinical Responsibilities:
* Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, tuberculosis, and pleural conditions.
* Management of thoracic oncology patients within a certified lung cancer center (DKG-certified).
* Care for patients with sleep-related breathing disorders.
* Active participation in the hospital’s certified weaning center, focusing on ventilator weaning protocols.
* Application and monitoring of advanced ventilation techniques, both invasive and non-invasive.
* Collaboration on the interdisciplinary intensive care unit, providing critical care support.
* Performing bronchoscopies and other specialized pulmonary diagnostic procedures.
* Participation in scheduled on-call and emergency duty shifts.
* Close cooperation with other medical specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff and trainees.
* Contribution to clinical research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
* Involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
* Administrative duties related to patient documentation and compliance with hospital protocols.
