As we prepare for a major refinancing and a future exit, we are professionalizing our "Engine Room" - and that’s where you come in.
As our Head Finance (m/f/x), you are the "Guardian of Truth." You ensure the ground we stand on is solid. You will lead our accounting through a period of transition, implement internal controls, and ensure that when auditors or banks come knocking, our data is flawless.
Your mission
The Ultimate Check: You own the final technical validation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. You are the quality gate for our US and European entities, ensuring every accrual and reconciliation is spot-on.
Audit Leadership: You are the primary face to our external auditors. You’ll lead the year-end process end-to-end, ensuring we maintain a "Zero-Finding" record.
Accounting Governance: You own the implementation and enforcement of our group-wide accounting standards, ensuring absolute consistency across all entities.
End-to-End Consolidation & Reporting: You drive the consolidation of our subsidiaries and craft the final group financial statements. From there, you'll take the lead in reporting these consolidated figures directly to the C-Level, investors, and banks.
Remove the Manual Work: We’re moving away from "Excel Heroics." You will partner with our Data Automation expert and Business Intelligence team to migrate legacy workbooks into automated, system-driven.
Process Architect: You will document and optimize our financial workflows, ensuring they are robust enough to survive the scrutiny of a high-stakes Due Diligence process.
Tax Compliance: You are responsible for timely and complete fulfillment of all tax reporting obligations, requiring proactive coordination with tax advisors to ensure full compliance with national and international tax laws.
Covenant Management: You own the tracking of our bank loan covenant tracking process. You’ll track our covenants in real-time, acting as an early-warning system for the C-Level.
Hands-on Leadership: You will be the direct technical mentor for our senior accounting team and provide the "air cover" they need to focus entirely on proper, day-to-day accounting without interruptions.
Knowledge Management: You’ll ensure that institutional knowledge is documented and shared, moving us from "person-dependent" to "process-dependent" success.
Your profile
Technical Specialist: You have 8+ years of experience in Group Controlling or Audit (Big 4 background is a massive plus). You know local GAAP (HGB) like the back of your hand. Knowledge in IFRS is a big plus.
Systems Mindset: You aren't just an Excel user; you understand how ERP data flows. Experience with systems like DATEV or Lucanet is exactly what we need.
Resilient & Precise: You stay calm under "Deal Pressure" and have an eagle-eye for detail that others might miss.
Language: You are fluent in German and English (both are essential for our global setup).
