ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking part-time Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator candidates to join our team in support of the US Army in USAG Bavaria.
This role provides administrative and program support to the Catholic Religious Support Program in coordination with the Catholic Priest and RSO staff. Key responsibilities include supporting worship services and sacraments, preparing bulletins and calendars, maintaining sacramental records, coordinating publicity and community communications, and providing administrative support for religious events and programs. All duties are performed in accordance with Army regulations and Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) requirements.
Candidates must be confirmed Catholics in good standing, have a minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Catholic programming, and be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Army installation access and required background screening. Experience in a military chapel environment is preferred.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As the Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and program support to the Catholic community at USAG Bavaria. Your work enables worship services, sacraments, and religious programs to run smoothly and in compliance with Army and Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) requirements.
Support Catholic Worship, Sacraments, and Religious Programs
* Provide administrative support for Catholic Masses, sacraments, religious education, and special events
* Assist the Catholic Priest with preparation and coordination of liturgical activities
* Support religious classes and program materials as required by the approved calendar
Manage Communication and Community Information
* Prepare and coordinate content for weekly Catholic bulletins and announcements
* Develop and distribute publicity, advertisements, and informational materials for Catholic programs
* Monitor and respond to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from the Catholic community in a timely and professional manner
Maintain Records, Calendars, and Reports
* Maintain accurate sacramental records in accordance with AMS requirements
* Keep the Catholic community calendar current, including worship services, events, and assigned ministers
* Track attendance and maintain required logs of services and activities
* Prepare and submit required monthly and quarterly reports and supporting documentation
Coordinate Meetings and Planning
* Attend and contribute to required planning and coordination meetings with the Priest and Religious Support Office staff
* Assist with liturgical planning, ministry coordination, and event scheduling
Administrative and Inventory Support
* Maintain inventory of Catholic religious supplies and prepare documentation to support purchasing requests
* Prepare designated offering documentation and other required administrative materials
* Ensure all assigned tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Knowledge
* Understanding of Catholic liturgy, sacraments, and parish administration
* Familiarity with Catholic community programming and religious education support
* Working knowledge of confidentiality and recordkeeping standards in a ministry setting
* Awareness of operating within a structured, policy-driven environment (e.g., military or institutional setting)
Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing bulletins, announcements, and correspondence
* Organizational skills to manage calendars, records, inventories, and multiple recurring deadlines
* Ability to coordinate activities, meetings, and events with clergy and support staff
* Proficiency with basic office tools and web-based systems used for scheduling, communication, and record management
Abilities
* Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
* Ability to manage variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and religious holidays
* Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with a diverse military and civilian community
* Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Army installation access and required background screening
YOUR EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Education
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Additional coursework or education related to theology, ministry, administration, or a related field is preferred
Certifications
* Must be a confirmed Catholic in good standing
* Must be able to obtain Catechist certification through the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) within 180 days of hire
* Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain required insurance for installation driving, if applicable

Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING Minimum of one (1) years’ experience working as a Catholic RE coordinator or equivalent. Experience in recruiting/managing/scheduling volunteers, event planning/execution, training volunteers, scheduling/preparing sacramental requirements. Experience in creating and maintaining RE curriculum/social media advertisement. Experience with common Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
