We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Senior Engineering Technician within our Product Development Engineering team to help support our Home Furniture Components business.

As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to bring new product ideas to life through design support, prototyping, and validation activities. So, what will you be doing as a Senior Engineering Technician?
1. Assisting engineers with product design, CAD support, and engineering documentation.
2. Supporting prototype development activities with internal and external resources.
3. Providing hands-on support to local operations with production-related shop activities.
4. Contributing to product validation and testing processes to ensure designs meet technical criteria.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
5. Associate’s degree in Mechanical Technology preferred; equivalent experience considered.
6. 5+ years of technician-level experience.
7. Demonstrated experience with mechanical, wood, and electrical fabrication tools.
8. Ability to machine, fabricate, and assemble prototypes.
9. Experience working in a product development environment.
10. Proficiency in speaking the local language to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Things we consider a plus:
11. Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD tools.
12. Familiarity with product validation/testing procedures.
