Responsibilities
1. Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for construction, electrical, building, fire, and energy-related installations across assigned jurisdictions
2. Communicate proactively with local municipalities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to resolve questions, clarify requirements, and expedite approvals
3. Coordinate with engineering, construction, energy operations, and inspection teams to ensure all technical documentation meets regulatory standards
4. Maintain accurate records, databases, and permit trackers, updating application statuses and regulatory changes in real time
5. Monitor due dates, turnaround times, and compliance obligations to prevent delays and ensure timely issuance of permits
6. Build strong working relationships with internal project managers and cross-functional teams to support streamlined workflows and efficient process execution
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement efforts aimed at reducing permitting cycle times and increasing operational efficiency
8. Engage with local officials through meetings or site visits when needed to answer technical questions about Tesla energy or construction projects
Profile
9. Experience in permitting, construction administration, energy systems, or a related field
10. Understanding of building, electrical, or energy regulations and ability to interpret technical documentation
11. Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal teams and government officials
13. Proficiency with office software tools and digital documentation systems (, Microsoft Office, Power BI, Bluebeam)
14. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to follow strict processes and meet tight deadlines
15. A proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
