Job Title: Building Safety Engineer
We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Building Safety Engineer. This position involves ensuring the implementation and enforcement of building safety policies in accordance with relevant legislation.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for various authorities related to building safety, including ITM, CIS, approved inspection bodies, fire experts, and other regulatory agencies.
* Establish and implement building safety policies in accordance with Luxembourg legislation.
* Serve as the primary contact for ITM, CIS, approved inspection bodies, fire experts, and other authorities related to building safety.
* Organize and monitor the condition of safety installations in all buildings under responsibility to ensure compliance.
* Manage risks associated with building safety, assist technical teams during acceptance, tests, and checks, and provide recommendations.
* Conduct safety audits of buildings, work areas, and construction sites.
* Define and ensure the implementation of compensatory measures in case of unavailability of building safety installations.
* Participate in regulatory monitoring and ensure compliance with current building safety rules and regulations.
* Manage first aid and personal assistance resources, including monitoring interventions, purchasing equipment, and managing defibrillators.
* Manage PMR equipment, including purchase of necessary materials and maintenance management.
* Organize and run training courses on building safety installations, including fire control units, fire supervision software, smoke extraction, etc.
* Ensure preparation and management of working documents, fire permits, evacuation plans, procedures, and maintenance booklets.
* Prepare monthly safety reports.
The ideal candidate should possess a civil engineering degree or post-graduate diploma specializing in "building technology" or significant professional experience in the field.
Specific training in fire safety, crisis management, and evacuation is also required.
The candidate should have knowledge of applicable ISO standards and an in-depth understanding of building safety regulations.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in fire safety is essential.
