Overview Azure Cloud Solutions Architect (m/f/d) role at NetApp. This position is located in Germany and is part of NetApp’s Azure Cloud Solutions Architect team. The role operates in a pre-sales capacity to identify workloads, design and architect solutions, run proofs-of-concept, and move customers to active consumption of NetApp’s Azure-based products. Much of the customer engagement is with the Microsoft Sales and Technical teams. Responsibilities Qualifying customer opportunities and requirements, and the potential solution fit for NetApp’s offerings in Azure. Designing solutions that may include software, Cloud, and professional services; running technical workshops to demonstrate those solutions. Presenting solutions at customer and partner briefings, Microsoft and NetApp sales meetings, corporate events, etc. Designing and running proofs-of-concept to illustrate solution fit within the customer environment. Handover of new customer wins to Professional Services and/or Customer Success. Participating in/hosting industry meet-ups and user groups. Publishing reference architectures, significant wins, best practices, etc., both internally and externally. Maintaining a broader view of the industry through constant learning and a growth mindset. Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of Cloud concepts and technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred). A passion for solving customer business challenges with Cloud technology solutions. Experience working with customers within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Experience running proofs-of-concept for software, hardware, or Cloud-based solutions in a pre-sales role. Knowledge of Network Attached Storage (preferably NetApp) and how applications such as SAP, Oracle, SQL, VMware, HPC, Virtual Desktops, etc., utilize NAS storage in a Cloud environment. Familiarity with container orchestration concepts; Kubernetes is a plus. On-premises infrastructure and workload experience and data migration methodologies are a plus. Willingness to travel within the assigned geography to customer locations, and occasionally further. Personal initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision; results-oriented. Ability to prioritize multiple projects concurrently; willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English (other languages are a plus). Education Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 years of related field experience.
