I am currently representing a leading manufacturer of waste management systems for the maritime industry. Established in 1975, they operate worldwide and are now looking for a Finance Manager to join their Hamburg office. In this role, you will manage a wide range of financial processes including forecasting, budgeting, tax filings, and year-end reporting. You will take ownership of the finance function in Germany, ensuring accuracy and compliance while working closely with the group finance team in Finland. The role offers long-term stability, responsibility, and the chance to gain even more skills across financial management and controlling.
The successful candidate will be fluent in German and English, bring strong technical knowledge in GAAP and IFRS standards, and have proven experience in financial management.

The Role:
1. Manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
2. Oversee year-end closing, tax filings, and compliance processes
3. Scan invoices, process approvals, and support clerical tasks
4. Take responsibility for financial accuracy and IT-based reporting
5. Collaborate with international colleagues to support group finance goals
The Candidate:
6. Fluent in German and English
7. Strong knowledge of German GAAP & IFRS standards
8. Experience in financial management (not people management)
9. Desirable: Marine industry background or large company experience
10. Based in or commutable to Hamburg
