Responsibilities:
1. You independently familiarize yourself with the topic of camera-based quality inspection.
2. You conduct research on the state of the art in image-based quality assurance methods.
3. You research the current state of the art in artificial intelligence (AI) with a focus on image-based approaches.
4. You collect training data and train a suitable AI model for defect evaluation of elastomer tensile test samples.
5. You take responsibility for cross-departmental project coordination and communication.
6. You develop a software application (user interface) to ensure easy operation of the test bench by laboratory personnel.
Qualifications:
7. You are enrolled in a degree program in mechatronics, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field of study.
8. You have knowledge of programming, particularly in Python, as well as in the field of artificial intelligence (ideally image-based).
9. Knowledge of automation technology (e.g. motors, sensors) is an advantage.
10. You have a solid technical understanding.
