3-Year Research Position in Proteomics and Metabolomics
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research group and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in the field of proteomics and metabolomics.
About the Project
The offered project challenges the traditional view of depression by investigating peripheral mood engrams that influence mental health. This includes the analysis of metabolomic and proteomic changes outside the brain as well as plasma transfer experiments.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct experimental research using advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques
* Analyze and interpret complex biological data to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage in scientific discussions
* Present findings at conferences and contribute to high-impact publications
* Assist in teaching and mentoring students in the research group
Requirements
* Master's degree in a relevant field, e.g., Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry
* Experience with protein biochemistry, autophagy, and metabolomic analyses
* Strong interest in proteomics, metabolomics, and computational approaches to analyze biological data
* Highly motivated, curious, and eager to contribute to scientific advancements
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written
