We seek a motivated working student to join our global cloud operations team in maintaining, securing, and scaling our modern cloud infrastructure. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, deepen your understanding of cloud technologies, and gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity practices that protect our global ARIS platform.
What You'll Do
* Collaborate with the cloud operations team to support deploying and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
* Assist with infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and scripting languages like Python.
* Help implement and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, and security tooling, contributing to threat detection, incident prevention, and compliance.
* Contribute to the automation of operational and cybersecurity tasks, such as log analysis, hardening checks, or configuration validation.
* Support CI/CD pipeline optimization, including DevSecOps practices like automated security scans or policy enforcement.
* Participate in reviewing cloud environments for security improvements, such as IAM hygiene, least-privilege access, and encryption standards.
* Help document operational processes, infrastructure architecture, and security guidelines, ensuring clarity and audit readiness.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud technology, DevOps, and cybersecurity innovations, and share insights with the team.
Your Profile
* Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps concepts, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Interest or first exposure to cybersecurity fundamentals, such as identity and access management, encryption, secure coding, or vulnerability scanning.
* Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash) or Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) is a plus.
* Strong interest in cloud security, monitoring, and automation.
* Analytical mindset with an eagerness to solve technical and security-related challenges.
* Team player with strong communication skills.
* Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
* Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to grow in a dynamic, security-conscious, cloud-focused environment.
