Your core responsibilities: Advance the ERP System to Launch: Assess the current state, define the right architecture, and create a clear roadmap to completion and beyond. Establish and Own the Technical Architecture: Build the architecture function from the ground up. Set standards, evaluate existing systems, and determine what to modernize, encapsulate, or replace with external solutions. Drive Make, Build, or Buy Decisions: From warehouse management to PLM for managing complex robotics and PLC systems, evaluate options, prepare business cases, and defend recommendations to the board. Shape IT Modernization Strategy: Beyond immediate projects, you will develop a comprehensive plan for the technical future: replacing legacy ticketing systems, introducing KPIs, modernizing IT services, and building the integration layer that enables flexibility. Empower the Team to Move Forward: Shift the focus from operational demands to strategic priorities. Provide the technical leadership that creates space for innovation and long-term planning. What You Bring Experience designing and implementing enterprise technical landscapes across multiple systems Proven ability to assess legacy systems and chart modernization paths Strong background in making and defending architecture decisions at the executive level Hands‑on understanding of ERP systems, integration architecture, and API strategies Experience leading or managing technical teams through transformation Fluent in both German and English A strategic mindset: you think beyond immediate fixes and plan for long‑term technical evolution Background in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial automation environments Experience with PLM systems, particularly in contexts involving robotics or industrial control systems 🎯 Location and Start This is a hybrid position based in Wolfsburg, with 2 to 3 days per week on‑site.
