2. define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations and flight training debriefing stations
3. create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML
4. take responsibility for the overall technical structure - from organizing the codebase and defining interfaces to shaping how the software integrates with other systems
5. design, develop, test and maintain software by writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, and follow software development best practices
6. analyze and debug software issues and fix bugs
7. proactively identify technical risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them
8. actively contribute to agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
9. take part in code reviews, helping to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant code
10. ensure the software system design and architecture is scalable, maintainable and can be integrated with other systems
11. support and mentor junior engineers, especially in the Qt/QML tech stack and the underlying architecture

12. hold a degree in computer science or a similar field
13. bring experience in software development, particularly in frontend/UI applications
14. are skilled in designing and implementing complex software architectures in collaborative settings
15. have strong expertise in C++ and the Qt/QML technology stack
16. are familiar with modern DevOps pipelines, containerization, and agile development methods
17. speak fluent English - and ideally, you also have very good German skills
