About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented EHS Auditor to support a major construction project in Frankfurt. This role is ideally suited for independent professionals with strong auditing expertise and a background in high-tech construction environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting monthly on-site audits to ensure compliance with local and international Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, as well as client-specific standards. You will review site practices, documentation, and procedures, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations to project teams. The auditor will be required to attend the site in Frankfurt once per month to conduct audits and provide compliance reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, and conduct EHS audits across data centre construction and operational sites.
* Identify risks, non-compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare clear and detailed audit reports, outlining findings and corrective actions.
* Collaborate with client and contractor teams to implement corrective measures and track progress.
* Stay up to date with relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Provide expert advice and recommendations to project stakeholders.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive safety management.
Key Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an EHS Auditor, preferably within the Data Centre or construction industries.
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience, specifically in auditing roles.
* Strong knowledge of German and international EHS regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English (German is an advantage).
* Relevant certifications such as ISO 45001 Auditor, NEBOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently as a freelancer or lone contractor with immediate availability.
Note: The contract is offered at a rate of €600 for a full day and €400 for a half day.
