Postdoc / Scientist (f/m/d) for the Development of Quantum Algorithms to Simulate Electron Transfer at Electrode Surfaces Reference No.: QM /16 The group Theory of Electron Dynamics and Spectroscopy is part of the research division Quantum and Functional Materials at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin. As such it develops the code Jellyfish for electron dynamics simulations with traditional and quantum algorithms for applications in optical, quantum and energy materials. There will be close cooperation with members of the work group based at Leibniz Universität Hannover and with a helmholtzwide consortium that focuses on studying batteries with quantum technologies. Your Tasks * You will carry out electron-dynamics calculations of electron-transfer processes. * You will utilize and further develop the group’s in-house code Jellyfish using quantum algorithms. * You will explore the potential use of quantum annealers. * You will engage in a Helmholtz-wide research consortium investigating batteries using quantum technologies. * You will present your results at conferences and publish them in scientific journals.
