In yourinternship at a globallyleadingmedicaltechnologycompany, you’llberight in themiddleoftheaction: Our team is specialized in the development of clinical navigation systems for minimally invasive ENT surgery. Clinical navigation systems (Stryker Scopis System) are used to guide surgeons by displaying the position of medical instruments on three-dimensional CT or MRI data of the patient, and ultimately to precisely reach anatomical targets. The team uses the latest technologies such as computer vision, augmented reality and AI for computer-assisted surgery.

2. You will learn and applythelatesttechnologies in machinevision, computergraphics, human-computer interaction and interactivesystems.
3. You will havetheopportunitytodevelopprototypesforourSurgical Navigation System and support ourteamwithyourproof-of-conceptapplication.
4. You will implementyoursolutionusing C++ or Python and Matlab and evaluateit in an ecosystemconsistingofstate-of-the-art navigation and imagingsystems.
5. You will be an activememberofour international and interdisciplinaryresearch and developmentteam.

6. Youarestudyingfor a master’sdegree in computerscience, medicalengineering, mathematics, physicsor a comparablesubject.
7. You have experience with object-oriented programming languages (C/C++), script languages (e.g. Python, Matlab) and preferably libraries (OpenCV, Qt, DCMTK).
8. Youhave a goodgraspofmathematics.
9. Youwanttotacklechallengingproblems in medicalengineering.
10. Youhave a goodcommandof English and ideally a goodcommandof German.
11. Youworkindependently, arehighlymotivated and committed, and arepreparedtotake on responsibilityquickly.
Please note: The project deals with current and sensitive development topics, so a confidentiality agreement (Sperrvermerk) will be required.
Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)
