Position Title: Assistant Manager - Circuit Switched (CS) Engineer Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Hamburg, Germany Contact: Divya Shetty | +49 (0) 89 23 88 98 87 We are seeking a skilled CS Engineer to support Germany based customer’s 2G core network and voice services. The role involves DevOps tasks including test management, configuration management, change management, operations & maintenance, and troubleshooting of Nokia-based platforms. Due to project compliance requirements, all personnel working on CS Voice and LI domains must have German security clearance. Candidates without clearance must demonstrate eligibility and willingness to undergo the process. Key responsibilities: Operate and maintain ATCA Open MSCServers, Media Gateways, and virtualized MSC servers. Manage interworking between 2G and 4G/5G voice services (IMS, VoNR). Administer IP Transport Layer and Voice Gateway integrations. Perform test management, including acceptance testing and troubleshooting. Handle lawful interception configurations and ensure compliance with German regulations. Interface with Nokia technical teams and vendor helpdesks. Document and manage trouble tickets using BMC-based ticketing systems. Technical Skills Required: Extensive experience with Nokia ATCA platforms and Cloudband architecture. Strong understanding of 2G voice services and interworking with 4G/5G. Proficiency in traceability tools (Anritsu) and Nokia Traffic Analysis Tool. Familiarity with TEFGER IP Transport Layer architecture. Experience in test management systems and acceptance testing. Knowledge of lawful interception protocols and German security clearance requirements. Mandatory requirements: Candidate must hold enhanced security clearances in accordance with Section 9 of the Security Clearance Act (SÜG)(Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz) The responsible supervisory authority is the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). Languages Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken). German language proficiency is a strong advantage.
