Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Projects

Role Overview
A leading international general contractor specialising in hyperscale and colocation data centre delivery is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, procurement strategy, and contract administration on large-scale, mission-critical construction projects across Europe.
This is an opportunity to work on some of the most technically complex and high-value data centre developments in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage full cost control from pre-construction through to final account
* Prepare, review, and manage BOQs, cost plans, and commercial reports
* Lead subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and contract negotiations
* Administer NEC / FIDIC / bespoke construction contracts as required
* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance
* Manage variations, change control, and claims mitigation
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and client teams
* Support risk management and commercial strategy development
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and governance standards
Required Experience & Skills
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or equivalent)
* 3–8+ years’ experience in a QS role (data centre, mission-critical, or large MEP-heavy projects preferred)
* Strong understanding of construction contracts (NEC or FIDIC advantageous)
* Experience working with main contractors or large specialist subcontractors
* Proven ability managing high-value packages in fast-paced environments
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Fluent English required; German language beneficial but not essential
Desirable
* Previous data centre or hyperscale project experience
* International project exposure (EU or global delivery)
* Experience working in design-and-build or EPC environments
* Familiarity with complex MEP systems and commissioning phases
