Your Mission You’ll take ownership of core accounting processes, ensure accuracy across our books, and contribute to an efficient and transparent month-end close process. You will take over existing accounting processes while also helping to develop and implement new ones as we continue to professionalise and scale our financial operations. TASKS: Accounting and Financial Administration Proper and timely bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing invoices in compliance with commercial and tax law. Review and process accounts payable and receivable transactions (including open item reconciliation). Support the setting up of weekly payment runs. Monitor receivables management and provide periodic inputs for the dunning process. Valuation and recording of fixed assets (asset accounting). Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Closings: Support the Controller and Management with monthly and annual financial statements as well as other business evaluations. Support Tax Reports and Declarations: In collaboration with our tax advisor, prepare the quarterly VAT returns and the EC Sales Lists (“ZM” for intra-community supplies). Review and clarify tax-related matters in cooperation with the external tax advisor and the tax office. Account Reconciliation and support of Reporting: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy. Prepare business management evaluations (BWA) as well as cost and performance accounting reports. Support the management team with accurate and timely financial reports and analyses. Your Qualifications You are a certified accounting/tax clerk with a comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and tax, have completed a commercial apprenticeship (Abschluss als Buchhalter, Finanzbuchhalter oder Bilanzbuchhalter), or hold a degree and have developed a strong interest in accounting. You have already gained 2-5 years of experience in a similar position. You are proficient in MS Office and have solid DATEV skills; prior experience with our ERP system Microsoft Dynamics and spending software MOSS would be a plus. Experience with cost centre and cost unit accounting is desirable. A high degree of discretion and a hands-on mentality are second nature to you. Good German (C1 level) and moderate English language skills. You enjoy working independently, are communicative, and work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
