About the team and the role: As a Senior Product Designer on the Local Design team within Seller Experience, you will help shape how buyers and sellers connect through local, in-person commerce on eBay. This team focuses on enabling nearby discovery and facilitating transactions that strengthen trust and community within the marketplace. You will work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment across design, product, engineering, and research to improve core aspects of the local experience across platforms. The team is driving a multi-year roadmap grounded in research and experimentation. In this role, you will own key areas of the experience, translate insights into scalable solutions, and contribute to the overall direction and quality of design for local commerce at eBay. What you will accomplish: Design end-to-end, user-centered experiences that integrate business needs, product insights, and customer feedback Create scalable solutions for how to consistently show information across buyer and seller journeys Develop concepts, wireframes, visual designs, and interactive prototypes to communicate ideas clearly Collaborate with cross-functional partners to co-create experiences that balance user needs and business goals Apply and evolve eBay’s design system to ensure consistency while contributing thoughtful improvements Use research, data, and experimentation to inform design decisions and refine solutions Present design work to stakeholders and leadership, gather feedback, and iterate to strengthen outcomes What you will bring: 6–8 years of experience in product design Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience Strong understanding of user-centered design processes and design research methods Experience creating prototypes and designs in Figma across mobile, tablet, and desktop Ability to communicate ideas through clear storytelling, visuals, and presentations Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Content Design Strong interaction and visual design skills, with proficiency in English for creating and sharing user flows Additional expectations: Experience working with or contributing to design systems Ability to plan and facilitate workshops and design sprints Experience designing for marketplace environments (preferred: eCommerce or SaaS) Portfolio demonstrating design process, explorations, and final outcomes (required) LI-SH1 Additional Details eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
