We are seeking a skilled and proactive Interim Finance Manager to join a dynamic School Trust on a part-time basis. This is a flexible role working 3 days per week, with occasional on-site visits as needed to the South West.
About the Role: You'll play a vital part in maintaining the financial health of the Trust, working closely with the CFO to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. This role would suit a finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced education environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly financial processing and reconciliations
* Cashflow and budget support, including forecasts
* Preparing ad hoc journals and managing budget re classifications
* Producing budget monitor reports and assisting with financial reporting
* Drafting financial data and collating information for internal and external audits
* Performing periodic spot checks to ensure compliance
* Providing reliable, high-quality support to the CFO across their portfolio
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, within education or the public sector
* Comfortable working independently and remotely
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Able to commit to 3 days per week on an interim basis
* Available to travel occasionally to Trust sites when necessary
