To strengthen our Commercial Operations/Supply Chain team in Aachen, we are looking for a motivated individual to act as the central interface between our company and our external logistics service provider (3PL) – with a focus on operational control, customs management, and continuous process optimization.
What You´ll Be Working On
* Operational coordination and main point of contact for our external warehouse partner (3PL)
* Managing product and invoice flows in SAP, handling complaints, and coordinating inventory
* Overseeing transport management up to final delivery to customers
* Monitoring warehouse performance using defined KPIs and initiating improvements where needed
* Collaborating closely with internal departments and external partners
* Managing all import/export processes and customs-related documentation
* Actively implementing error management and continuous improvement processes
* Ensuring accuracy of all shipping documents and maintaining long-term tax records
* Handling customs clearance for LPCA
* Contributing to the development of new end-logistics processes in Europe and LATAM
* Conducting cost analyses and comparing budget vs. actual costs (IWD)
* Supporting improvement initiatives and providing ad-hoc support to the Customer Service Desk
What You Bring:
* Vocational training in logistics and/or customs management and several years of professional experience
* Experience in logistics coordination and ideally experience working with 3PL partners, with a solid understanding of warehouse, shipping, and transportation processes
* Knowledge of customs management and clearance for import and export, ideally with experience working with customs brokers and additional qualification as a certified customs specialist
* Confident handling of customs and shipping-related documents, with meticulous documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements
* Willingness to actively contribute to the development of processes and help shape existing workflows
* Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and a hands-on mindset
* Team spirit and a proactive approach to shaping processes
* Structured working style and high level of self-responsibility
* Proficient in SAP (e.g., modules MM and SD), especially in goods postings, invoicing, complaints handling, and inventory management
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate key performance indicators (e.g., warehouse metrics, transport costs) and independently respond to deviations
* Independent, structured, and reliable working style, even in complex or unforeseen situations
* Excellent communication skills when interacting with internal departments and external partners, both written and verbal
