Could you be the full-time Railway Operations Engineer (SMB-B)in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your rail operations expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Ronald Kislat, Test Laboratory Manager, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
You'll will take over responsibilities as a railway operations manager with focus on the safety management system. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business leading in the development and handling the processes /documents of the safety management system. You’ll specifically take care of organization and execution of the work in accordance with appropriate regulations /manuals.
We’ll look to you for:
* Applying for permissions to railway authorities for non-approved rail vehicles to operate on public rail infrastructure.
* Participation in resolving emergency situations as part of emergency management
* General tasks for railway operations as railway operations manager
* Tasks as operational test manager: bears overall responsibility for the test drive as the responsible company officer
* Technical tasks (vehicle technology):
* Development of various test protocols (safety check)
* Creation of checklists to document the vehicle conditions, examination or handover
* Creation of technical work instructions for the operation of the vehicles
* Evaluation /assessment of the vehicle conditions (operability, maintenance status)
* Supervision of maintenance

* Proven experience in railway operations, with a focus on rolling stock and infrastructure (hands-on experience as engineer for railway operations or railway operations planning, train driver, local operations manager or railway operations manager)
* Fluency in German and conversational English is required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Open and collaborative team player
* Reliability and punctuality are your hallmarks
* Possess an eye for the big picture, demonstrating a capacity for thinking across tasks
* Economically efficient thinking, recognizing the cost implications of rail transport
* In-depth knowledge of railway systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
* Extensive knowledge of preparing test drive applications
* Valid license as a train driver
