Wandelbots’ Enterprise Architectrole exists to:
* Translate business ambition and competitiveness goals into platform value
* Designenterprise-ready IT–OT architectures with customers
* Create trust, clarity, and alignment across business, IT, and OT stakeholders
* Enable scalable adoption ofsoftware-defined automation and Physical AI
This role is critical in turning strategic interest into board-approved platform decisions. Reporting to: Head of Sales (dotted line to Product & Engineering). As Enterprise Architect, you act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers during the sales and early adoption journey.

* Executive ambition and technical reality
* Proof of Value and long-term enterprise architecture
Your work ensures that Wandelbots is positioned as a foundational platform, not an isolated solution.
What you will do
1. Business-to-Platform Translation
* Translate customer business goals (cost, flexibility, resilience, growth) into:
o Platform value narratives
o Architecture principles
o Adoption and expansion logic
* Support Sales inexecutive-level value conversations
* Ensure technical discussions always connect back to measurable business outcomes
2. Enterprise Architecture Design (IT–OT)
* Co-create enterprise IT–OT architectures with customers
* Design target architectures for:
o Software-defined automation
o Physical AI integration
o Scalable, multi-site operations
* Align Wandelbots NOVA with:
o Enterprise IT standards
o Security and governance requirements
o Cloud, edge, and shopfloor environments
3. Maturity Assessment & Capability Frameworks
* Develop and evolve technology-agnostic capability frameworks
* Lead highly interactive maturity assessment workshops with:
o Business leaders
o IT architects
* OT and automation experts
* Identify gaps, constraints, and transformation levers across:
o Technology
o Organization
o Governance
o Skills and operating model
4. Transformation Roadmaps & Value Realization
* Design enterprise transformation roadmaps with a clear:
o Phased adoption approach
o Risk mitigation strategy
o Value realization plan
* Focus onsoftware-defined automation and Physical AI
* Ensure roadmaps are:
o Realistic
o Scalable
o Anchored in customer P&L logic
5. Expansion & Business Development Support
* Identify expansion opportunities across:
o Use cases
o Sites
o Regions
* Support Sales and Partner teams in:
o Building expansion narratives
o Developing business cases
o Structuring long-term framework agreements
* Act as architectural continuity across the customer lifecycle
Your profile
Experience & Background
* Many years Strong experience as:
o Enterprise Architect
o Solution / Platform Architect
o Digital or IT–OT Transformation Architect
* Proven exposure to large enterprise environments
* Experience working in automation domains
* Familiarity with:
o Cloud and enterprise IT architectures
o OT systems and shopfloor realities
o Industrial Robots, Autonomous moving Robots
o Platform and ecosystem-based models
* Ideally, you are based in one of the following regions: Rhine-Main, Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, or Cologne/Bonn
Skills & Strengths
* Ability to operate credibly with:
o Board-level stakeholders
o CIO / CDO / CTO organizations
o OT and engineering teams
* Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills
* Excellent abstraction and structuring capability
