About the Role
We are currently seeking a strong, influential, and highly experienced technical expert with exceptional knowledge in project management, particularly in aircraft integration engineering and its interconnections within the manufacturing environment.
In your role as a Senior Technical Expert in the Project Engineering knowledge domain, you will serve as the technical authority leading, within a multifunctional and integrated engineering team (including suppliers and internal engineering teams), the development of detailed, robust, and executable project plans (cost and schedule) within the BOS framework.

Technical Leadership
6. Influence Knowledge Domain (KD) mid and long-term vision.
7. Influence KD strategy, objectives, be a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) participant for review with Fellows.
8. Identify skills gaps within KD.
9. Key SME participant in KD activities.
10. Support Knowledge Owner with KD events.
11. Influence, harmonize and prepare Bombardier Project Management policies.
12. Educates other specialists within the group and wider on technical decision making and influence
13. Provide recommendations for promotions from ES to SES.
14. Propose the implementation of project management innovations based on knowledge of industry trends
15. Recommend new cost-effective engineering solutions through Knowledge Domains and Programs
16. Support Program and Project Requirements and needs analysis development.
17. Lead and/or coordinate the A/C level or work package requirements and design solutions development through the various stages of requirements development and documentation, including coordination with other functions to ensure completeness and cohesiveness.
18. Lead and/or coordinate the requirement Validation & Verification planning at A/C or work package level
19. Lead and/or coordinate Problem Report investigations and resolution process for A/C level or work package issues from design, test, manufacturing or in-service issues affecting product certification, continued airworthiness or customer acceptance
20. Responsible for A/C level or work package engineering planning and governance completeness
21. Lead and/or coordinate and participate in Applicant internal or external program / project audits
22. Collects, dispositions and communicates Lessons Learned within KD for community cross programs
23. Lead and/or coordinate the PR investigation and resolution process for A/C level issues Customer Facing – problem resolution in support of Delivery and STC’s & support to customer advisory councils
24. Lead and coordinate Engineering Change planning, ensuring completeness, robustness and harmonization of implementation planning
25. Participate in Commodity Strategy reviews with Sourcing
26. Support Procurement for vendor discussions
27. Support Legal on vendor claims
28. Identify opportunities with Sourcing for program cost savings
29. Witness selected testing, inspections, and/or audits as part of oversight on behalf of the Applicant
Technical Competency
30. Project Management process oversight and adherence to Technical Risk Level (TRL) requirements, Maturity & Exit Gate Criteria
31. Validate processes & Knowledge Standards meet Best Practice
32. Enforce adherence to BES practices and Knowledge Standards to promote product line integrity and consistency - May perform BES Champion role
33. Lead problem solving in the Knowledge Domain across product lines
34. Collect/Validate Lessons Learned in own Domain in support of Knowledge Owner
35. Mentors Engineers from his/her technical discipline
36. Recommend development action of SESs as part of PDP
How to thrive in this role?
37. Bombardier experience and good working knowledge of BES (Bombardier Engineering System)
38. Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering.
39. Over 15 years or more of relevant experience in a specific aerospace engineering field
40. Has experience on at least 2 or more development programs, through the various stages of the lifecycle
41. Excellent multi-tasking, communication skills with the ability to influence without authority
42. Advanced knowledge in a specific field and a breadth of knowledge of many aircraft systems
