We are looking for an HR Governance Manager, temporarily until March 2027, based in Spain or Munich.

The Impact You Will Have

The HR Governance Manager ensures that HR operates in a fully compliant, well‑controlled, and audit‑ready environment. This role oversees governance processes, internal controls, HR policies, HR systems governance, and regulatory alignment. It supports local and global HR teams in maintaining high standards of data quality, compliance, application governance, and operational risk mitigation.

Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include

Maintain and improve HR governance framework, ensuring internal controls and approval metrics are in place.
Ensure compliance with global/local HR policies, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards.
Lead or support governance-related audits, manage documentation, track action plans, and liaise with auditors.
Monitor and update risk controls, contribute to Risk & Control Self-Assessments, and adjust control ownership as needed.
Ensure accurate HR data reporting, documentation, and version control across systems, policies, and processes.
Act as the primary contact for HR governance queries, communicate updates globally, and support onboarding/training for governance activities.
Maintain internal control library, prepare business continuity plans, and ensure audit readiness for HR functions.

What You'll Bring To The Role

Degree in HR, Business Administration, Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field
Strong knowledge of HR processes (HR Admin, Payroll, Comp & Benefits, HR systems)
Experience with internal controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors).
The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to work with auditors, IT governance, HRBPs, and global HR teams
Structured, detail‑oriented, and able to manage deadlines across multiple governance streams
Analytical and risk‑based mindset
Fluent English skills.
