The aim of the LetsROC project (Remote Operation Center for (semi-)autonomous shipping) is to develop and certify concepts and solutions for human-machine interaction in remote operation centers (ROCs) for monitoring and controlling a MASS fleet in maritime shipping. This requires the identification of operationally relevant scenarios (e.g., docking, pilotage and sea passage under various environmental and traffic conditions) and requirements as well as the identification of parameters such as navigation status, course, speed, other ship parameters, sensor data, system states and error messages. Last but not least, the integration of this data from simulators into the ROC platform will be an important contribution by HSB.
If the formal requirements are met and the candidate is willing to pursue a doctorate, a doctorate based on the project will be supported.
